Wire Cut Brick
Wire-cut bricks, also referred to as extruded bricks, are machine-made by forcing clay through a die and cutting it with wires. These bricks are known for their uniform size, sharp edges, and consistent quality, making them a popular choice in construction.

What’s the best way to clean wire-cut bricks ?
After laying every few courses of bricks, wipe the surface with a sponge dipped in clean water to remove mortar smears. Avoid using hard water for curing, as its salt content can cause deposits on the brick surface. If any dirt or efflorescence remains, perform a mild acid wash and scrub gently with a coir or fiber brush.
What causes efflorescence on brick surfaces ?
Efflorescence is a white, powdery deposit of salts that appears on the surface of bricks and mortar. While it may not pose an immediate structural threat, it is considered undesirable due to its negative impact on the aesthetic appearance of masonry work.
Why do some wire-cut bricks have holes in them ?
The holes in wire-cut bricks serve to reduce their weight, helping to minimize the overall dead load on the structure. Additionally, these perforations can be creatively used to insert structural steel, allowing for unique and aesthetically pleasing installations.
